INDIA182: Day 109 debrief. . .

Lalalalala!

I am Jesus happy today! (If that makes any sense!) haha

The sense of anticipation for my departure from Guwahati was already being felt. A lovely girl from the DTS was serving me extra tea just because of it! I have no idea why these things happen sometimes, but thank you Lord! Haha

Yato, one of the DTS staff kindly took care of everything in booking the ticket for tomorrow and seeing that I would get an auto rickshaw in the morning when I left the base. (He’s the quiet kind of guy but with an amazing servant heart.)

I woke up rather late today not really expecting much to happen but was I in for a surprise. Since it was my last day in the base, I decided to sit in on the DTS teaching about relationships which was AMAZING; and gave me such a greater understanding of what attraction truly meant and the difference between that and lust.

I wrote this down for part of my notes:

Sometimes we have been revealed with something so much in a wrong sense, that we think it is complete evil instead of it being just corrupted and twisted by the enemy.

God, please continue revealing to me that everything that You have created is good and not evil. Bring forth the truth to the wickedness that has shrouded Your natural creations of relationship.

Cool stuff ay?

I was totally refreshed with that teaching and encouraged to pursue God’s love even more! I sat down with Ole and his wife both from Denmark for lunch just to see how much they represented what they were talking.
Relationship with God since the very beginning was crucial!
So I sat down after the teaching and read this crazy mind-melting book, The Divine Conspiracy, which brings forth a greater focus and understanding of life with Jesus now than heaven or forgiveness; of course that stuff comes along with it. But it is intimate relationship that’s the target.

And of course much more where that came from but just a more concise depth in this relationship of friendship with Jesus!
I was seriously so wrapped up with chewing on these revelations that seemed to be the wrapper of more revelations, I nearly forgot that the DTS had ministry today!

I immediately jumped on the opportunity. And without a doubt, it was so nice!
Ole and his wife also met up with us to go aid this villages near the stone crusher of our place.
Now stone crushing is a job which requires blowing up rock or parts of a mountain, and crushing it to smaller pieces so they could shipped towards road building, or cement. . .etc. And the village that lives half way up this mountain mostly occupy this job.

The hike was tremendous. I am coming close to finding a new love in mountains and climbing them. Ole and I got to talk on our way up about musical instruments and things haha also got provided more information in the urgent need of more volunteers for this ministry. Because the only one that is taking care of this ministry and visiting the village and giving out small medical aid, is one girl staff that is planning to get married and possibly move away from this place in one year.
Ole and I could see how sad it would be to lose such a founded relationship, in such short time, with this village, whom have already called Aboli, sister.

They were a fun, curious, and loving group of people; With much innocence and much to learn.
Much of us just stood and prayed for the people and kids silently as Aboli gave medical aid to scraps and bruises and cuts. But it was a good experience none the less; to see these people welcoming us with smiles and gestures to sit with them.

Thank you Jesus for a final great day in Guwahati! I am truly blessed to have experienced what I have experienced here. God, I pray that You will have people remember the state of Assam and its continuous need for You.

Also please pray for the people in the tribe to be ever closer to Jesus. And may they be convicted of our addiction to tobacco; that they may see how much it hurting them though everyone may be doing it. Pray that more hearts around will be touched for this ministry and the people that need Jesus.
Please continue to pray for the DTS in Guwahati to be touched and blown down by the Holy Spirit! I pray that their fires will be sparkers of flames in the northeast.
May God provide a restful night tonight and a fresh morning, to step into a new land where countless of God’s awesomeness is to come.
Final prayer is for this:

That you may have a grander scheme of the Father’s love tonight.

I hope you have/had a good day!!

Much love from India!!

INDIA182: Day 108 debrief. . .

20121105-210001.jpg

Theme for todayyy:
Sunday delay from bus strike day!
Volleyball night cancelled!
Equals trekking around with Kezha capturing God’s glory.

Well that’s about it. It pretty much sums it up. I don’t really have a debrief. Haha

I can simply say that God still was there throwing His beauty at me. And I was falling in love just the same.
And I experienced how painful it is to sit on the back of a single seated bike.
Other than that, it was a chillaxed, (chilled, relaxed) day!

Prayer requests:
My next location is arriving in two days! (More like I’m arriving there in 2 days BUT you know what I mean!) haha
Please pray that God will prepare, like He always has, for the people and places and hearts. And that I would obey whatever He has planned for me there.
I hope today you have found rest and more of an intimate way of having a relationship with Him!

Much love from India!!

INDIA182: Day 107 debrief. . .

Thank you Jesus that You’re bigger than the issues we see in life and Your love abounds to all ends!

I’m happy that today, God has given me greater rest and peace towards what had happened yesterday. I was able to understand that what we had said was from stress and the works of the enemy. We didn’t mean what we had said to each other.
It didn’t mean that everything was reconciled of course but God had given me a greater understanding and through that peace. (:

And even a greater joy was that my appointment at Érico’s youth club was still going to happen! Today’s adventure set up from our departure towards the youth club.
And joining me on this adventure would be Kezha! A new found friend that I’ve grown closer to during my time with the DTS here.
So we started off looking for a bus. And to our disadvantage, we found out that the bus workers of most of the companies were on strike today! Haha I’ve experienced this in India before but didn’t think it would happen here. So we walked a bit till we could catch a bike ricksha, and from there, headed a bit to the central of town. During this adventure, I have to admit that I was quite disappointed at first from what had happened yesterday and whether God wanted me to head to this club house. BUT God told me He wanted me to go soooooo I said okay! Then provide the way!!

After we got off the bike rickshaw, since there were no buses to catch, we had to take an auto rickshaw (motorbike type) which takes a lot of money. But trusting God, He provided!! During our search of cheap auto rickshaws with Kezha trying his bargain down the price and me praying silently behind him, we just randomly bumped into a guy that was kind enough to split the price with us because he was passing by that location! Jesus is good!! So we got to split the price, and I got to meet a new person and speak to him. Good trade huh?

Soo we arrived! Yay!
It was a little earlier than expected but Kezha and I grabbed a few cokes and biscuits and chilled, playing table tennis. Haha Érico was also preparing His famous cake for the gathering along with the winning Brazilian coffee.

Everything was set for a good afternoon/evening and it was! A couple of guys that Érico invited came and had a blast learning/playing their new favorite game UNO. And of course leading to their next new favorite: JENGA.
Afterwards, Érico invited me to play a few songs for the boys there and we just chatted about our lives and random Hindu texts and such. It was a great night.
Lastly, Érico led the group into a discussion about their views on what freedom is, just for them to think about it.

Cake came and vanished.

And that was the end of the night.

Kezha and I said goodbye to everyone, I joyfully got more contacts from the new friends I’ve made, and we were off; finding a cheap auto rickshaw pretty quickly, praise the Lord.

Adventure Day 107 accomplished. (:
He is uber cool and faithful.

Prayer requests:
Please pray for these boys that I had met tonight will continue being drawn to Érico’s club house and may the love of God rock them like India has never seen!!
Also pray for Kezha to find the joy and not the burden of being a Christian and what it really feels like to be born again.

Much love from India!!

Today had its highs and lows. Praise The Lord that He is bigger than these issues and that we should run into, if not already be, in His presence. And it is He that is our refuge and fortress. The God whom we trust and abide in.

This morning, I was awakened with a fresh clear mind and pumped to head up this high place! I was joyful to hear some good news from my friends around the world and to know that I’m never alone in this.

Érico an I headed out at 7am sharp, just to make sure that we would beat the traffic and hot sun in the afternoon. We arrived towards the bottom of the mountain and started the climb. I was really enjoying this exercise and stretch of my persistence as we climbed up the steep, sometimes stair-less, mount. I started thanking God as memories came starting from the beginning of this journey of India182. God was really showing me His faithfulness through out it all. And was continue to remind me to cling to Him an trust Him!

After a 3-4km hike up, we took a pit stop in this small village/town half way up the mount. I got to treat Érico in some good Indian breakfast and we got to just praise God for such a great climb!

After the short break, we started off again because we haven’t reached the top yet! But praise the Lord! We arrived after 1-2km walk! God had still given me strength to stand on this huge rock and look over the wonderful city of Guwahati. It was amazing to look over the place and picture and imagine God’s flood and love washing over the place and all people stopping their cars, coming out of their houses to see God and cry to Him and dance for Him and be filled with joy!

Érico made a splendid suggestion when we got back to his club house. He suggested that we should watch a movie! And since it was a James Bond movie, I couldn’t resist. Hahaha

Through out the rest of the day, we got to talk to many of Érico’s friends. It was good again to connect and see how much I am for relationships! The more I have travelled India, the more I have seen my excitement and passion for this. Soooooo good!!

Prayer requests:
Please pray for Érico and I as we had got into an argument tonight. Please pray for the breaking of anger and frustration and bitterness in both of our hearts. Pray that forgiveness will come in and fill us which will evolve to peace and rest.
God is bigger than this and I want to maintain this great brotherly friendship. May our connections stay strong and in love as the enemy’s plan is to break this. May I humble myself to have my honor depend on God and Him alone. Thank you guys for your prayers!

Much love from India!!

INDIA182: Day 105 debrief. . .

20121103-222513.jpg

For today, I had decided to rest. The plan was to meet up with Onen to go to this ministry BUT I must have misunderstood because he was meaning yesterday! I had a good talk with Onen’s wife about more of why I am here because it has been so busy during the week, that we both didn’t really have time to talk and get to know each other! Haha after our lovely chat, she invited me to dinner and gave me more connections to the north and the northeast! I’m so so happy for God’s provision to bring forth more relationships! Thank you Jesus!

So yes folks, nothing much was crackin today. Jesus time, Ywam DTS time, update blog and planning on 100th day newsletter time. Haha

Towards the end of the day, Yato (a staff in the base) headed over to Onen’s house and we had a wonderful talk with this couple from Denmark that did their DTS in Perth as well! We had fun chatting and just talking about our experiences with other countries and such. It was really good to see Perth never have left me. (:

Worship and intercession time tomorrow in the high place! Guwahati, Jesus kingdom is here! Open your eyes!!

Please pray for strength and joy tomorrow as Érico and I head up this mountain to proclaim that The Lord reigns in this place!!
Also pray for the ministries here to continue flourishing and growing; that Guwahati’s cries will be heard by the churches/believers ears.
I love you God.
I will not lose hope.

Much love from India!!
